Overview of Vietnam’s Rubber Export in 2025

Overview of Vietnam’s Rubber Export in 2025

In the first half of 2025, Vietnam exported nearly 550,000 tons of rubber worth USD 1.04 billion. While volume slightly decreased by 4.1%, export value surged by 21.7%. The average export price hit USD 1,905/ton – the highest in years.
The European Union (EU) is paying growing attention to sustainable sourcing, prompting Vietnamese rubber exporters to adjust their strategies to comply with new regulations, notably the EUDR (European Union Deforestation Regulation).

Vietnam’s Position & Export Potential

Vietnam is the world’s third-largest exporter of natural rubber, behind Thailand and Indonesia.
Key markets: China, India, the U.S., and the EU.
While China remains the largest importer, the EU holds strong potential, especially for high-value processed products like rubber gloves, tires, and technical rubber.
