A Cargo Manifest is a summary document listing all cargo loaded onto a vessel at the port of departure for transportation to various destinations. This document ensures that the shipment details match the provided shipping information, including:

• Shipper and consignee details
• Bill of Lading (B/L) number
• Cargo type, quantity, and weight
• Port of loading and discharge

Upon arrival at the destination port, the shipping line receives an Arrival Notice from the origin port’s agent and declares the shipment to customs based on the Manifest.
